Who’s really the brains and the brawn of the Chief Catering operation?

CHEF JUSTIN brings over 29 years of experience in the food and service industry and he loves talking food with just about anybody. Presentation is everything for Justin, and while he is certainly the mastermind behind Chief Catering’s specialty dishes, his true specialty is working with clients and putting together menus that match their vision and tastes. During the food service, he’s a man on a mission: 100% focussed on making sure the food is top-notch and everyone is getting enough of it. But as soon as the food is out, he’s relaxed and as cool as a cucumber (we promise!).
LAURA, BAKER-IN-CHIEF and customer service extraordinaire has worked in hospitality her entire life. She’s a self-taught baker specialising in cakes and dessert, but people are her true specialty. Even amidst the stress and chaos of wedding and event planning, Laura knows how to make Chief Catering customers feel at ease. To Laura, it’s all about that personal touch!

Situated in McLaren Vale region on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Chief Catering is more than a family owned and operated mobile catering service. We have fun! Our food is … dare we say… fantastic. But most of all, we strive to make lasting connections in our community through food.
It all starts with our custom-built food van which is locked, loaded, and ready to bring exceptional food to the venue of your choice. Our catering van embodies our attitude toward catering: flexible, convenient, and always aiming to please. That’s the Chief Catering promise.
As passionate as we are about the food we create, we give just as much love toward creating a stress-free process that leaves you feeling relaxed on your special today, so you can plate up, eat up, kick back, and enjoy.
Our staff and approach is a reflection of our emphasis on family and building relationships. That’s why we end up becoming mates with all our clients.

CURIOUS ABOUT THE ‘CHIEF’ IN CHIEF CATERING?
Our business carries the namesake of Chief, a striking thoroughbred - who used to be a racehorse. Chief was Chef Justin’s pride and joy, so naming the business after him was a way to keep his memory with us forever!
